Fit check and install

Measure the panel hole: these rivets fit an 8mm (5/16") hole. A hole of a different size needs a different rivet.
To remove an old rivet, work a trim-clip tool or forked pry tool under the head and lift it straight out.
To fit a new one, line up the panel and frame holes and push the rivet in until the head sits flat; the legs expand behind the panel to hold it.
Use a new rivet each time: removal deforms the legs.

Pop out one old clip and measure the panel hole, not the old rivet. A 5/16″ drill bit that just slips through confirms 8 mm.
Line up the panel

These hold a combined panel stack of roughly 2–6 mm.
Press in a fresh rivet

Fresh rivets press in by hand in seconds. Don’t reuse old ones: removal deforms the legs.

8 mm (5/16″) holes, with a combined panel stack of roughly 2–6 mm. The head is 15 mm. A 5/16″ drill bit that just slips through the hole confirms 8 mm; if your hole is 9 mm or 10 mm, these are not your clip.
