Fit check and install
- Measure the panel hole: these rivets fit an 8mm (5/16") hole. A hole of a different size needs a different rivet.
- To remove an old rivet, work a trim-clip tool or forked pry tool under the head and lift it straight out.
- To fit a new one, line up the panel and frame holes and push the rivet in until the head sits flat; the legs expand behind the panel to hold it.
- Use a new rivet each time: removal deforms the legs.
