Replacing broken clips on your GMC? Our GM 21075686 / 11561878 replacement push rivets are an aftermarket replacement for GM OEM part 21075686: the 8mm nylon push retainer GM used for decades on rocker panels, wheel liners, air inlet ducts and cowl grilles.

Where the GMC uses 8mm push rivets

  • Rocker panel and wheelhouse liner retainers
  • Air inlet duct and cowl grille fasteners
  • Splash shield and baffle retainers

GMC models named on our GM listing: Sierra, Yukon, Canyon, Sonoma, Envoy, Jimmy, Savana. The same retainer is listed for the rest of the GM lineup: Chevrolet, GMC, Cadillac, Hummer, Pontiac, Saturn and Oldsmobile (see the Chevrolet, GMC and Cadillac pages).

Check the fit before you order

  1. Pop out one old clip and measure the hole. A 5/16" drill bit that just slips through confirms 8mm. If the hole is 9mm or 10mm, these are not your clip.
  2. Check the panel stack: these fit 8mm holes with roughly 2–6mm of panel stack-up.
  3. To remove an old rivet, work a trim-clip tool or forked pry tool under the head and lift it straight out.
  4. Line up the panel and frame holes and push the new rivet in until the head sits flat; the legs expand behind the panel. Use a new rivet each time: removal deforms the legs.

FAQ

Which GMC part do these replace?

GM OEM part 21075686 (cross-referenced with 11561878), the 8mm nylon push retainer GM used on rocker panels, wheel liners, air inlet ducts and cowl grilles. See the GM 21075686 listing.

Which GMC models use it?

Our GM listing names the GMC Sierra, Yukon, Canyon, Sonoma, Envoy, Jimmy, Savana. Always measure one hole first: clip sizes vary by position.

Can I reuse the old clips?

No. Removal deforms the legs, so fit a new rivet each time.

How many should I order?

Count the clips on the panel you are removing and add a few spares. The quantity calculator helps; shops usually keep a 1,000-pack on the shelf.
